slides

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Revolution LE 40' The bedroom slide will not come in, it is a Powergear gear driven slide. It sound like it is skipping gears. Makes alot of noise and then will go out a little then it stars slipping again. I have done this lots of times and it won't finish the cycle.

If it's like my 2004, the single rack & pinion gear mechanism is under the bed. If the slide gets tilted a little or the gear teeth worn, the gears barely mesh and slippage occurs. The common fix is to put a 1/8" thick metal bar under the gear rack to shim it up so that it meshes better.
If yours is bigger than mine and has two gear racks driven by a single motor with a a pair of gears on the shaft, the solution might be different.
