Go back to Fleetwood/Flexsteel, I saw a year or so ago somewhere that Flexsteel will fix that as it was a design issue....but, I'm not for sure 100%, but maybe?

I'm sure you already did that, it was just an idea....

I did. I'm on my third set. They replace the cover but the cause hasn't been addressed

Mine is coming out very soon. Let the planning begin. This thread has kegs. Thanks to everyone for all the info.
Sarah, what is the width of your door (if you can check)? Mine looks like 27.5". My door swings all the way open so I don't think I need to take any screen off. It does not have a piton either. It looks like I can remove the metal trim on the inside of the door and gain another inch. That would be 28.5. From what I measured the J part of the sofa is 28.5.
Would be great to hear back your door opening size
Thanks in advance.
Anyone in Tampa want to help? Document and video it. Might have to have a few bleeps knowing me though.
Funny thing is I was going to have Lazy Days remove it before I purchased it and they agreed. I backed out at the last minute (and that was before I found Sarah's documentation of the "wonderful" process to remove it.)
Let the fun begin!

Wow, do you suppose you could whine and look pitiful at Lazy Days?

Sorry, I don't remember the measurement of the doorway and the Bounder is across town in storage. You will probably have to take the upholstery and plywood backing off of the L-shaped section to get it through the door. I don't know why they don't make motorhome doorways big enough to get stuff in and out.

Be sure to document and post pics of the completed project! Good luck!

Hahaha, I am not a whiner. Give me a challenge and I will take it. This one might be just a bit too easy. I think they changed the dimensions just a little bit.
Spent my Thanksgiving morning taking it all apart (yaay, the dinette is actually sold!). The torture sofa is all apart and it looks like it is going to fit through the door. It's too heavy to do by myself so that is a project for another day.
With the dinette out it is an improvement already. Will replace with freestanding chairs and probably the same dinette table, a recliner and a computer desk.
Thanks for all the info Sarah. Even with the warning I felt better tackling it. Need suggestions to fill/plug the holes from the seat belt bolts

Good job! I hope it will all go out easily for you. Isn't it amazing how heavy that Flexsteel sofa is??

All of the bolt-holes in our carpet are under the new sofa, so I just stuck some of those small round felt furniture pads over 'em. Not the best solution, but it will do.

I like the dinette benches, but we did change out the table. I really hated that table with the single aluminum leg. Here's how it looks now...

The sofa finally sold. And that is where the fun ended
Yep, it didn't fit out the door probably just like what you posted. Luckily the buyer needed similar dimensions to get it in their rv. So off to work I went. The one piece of backing is all that needed to come off. If I recall you husband commented on the number of staples they used in this couch. OMG was he right. I think it took over 30 minutes to remove just the staples. But once removed the plywood back opened like a door so the corner piece went right out. Bought a nice leather recliner with foot rest. Now just need to build a little toekick to hide the pile of wires. Almost done. haha

Love the table! Where a good source for RV tables? It appears the unique size of mine drives the prices way up.

Hi Fred. I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner. I bought my table from RVFurniture.com. https://www.rvfurniture.com/ They make custom RV furniture and provide pieces for several RV manufacturers. I provided them the style and dimensions that I wanted, and they sent stain samples so I could choose a finish. The completed table was very reasonably priced if I recall correctly, and it is beautiful solid wood.

Here is another thread on the table replacement... http://www.irv2.com/forums/f59/repla...it-198852.html

How they build Bounders

Touring the REV Decatur, Ind., plant during the June RV rally, I watched them load appliances, sofas and cabinets onto the floor deck of Bounders, then the walls are built around everything followed by front/rear end caps topped off with the TPO roof.

The sofa wasn't brought in through the door so it is doubtful it would go out the door. Sorry.

If you had read the rest of this thread (from 3 years ago), you would find that indeed it DID go out the door and we have had a new La-z-boy ever since.

It ships with the entire back off of it should have no issue fitting through the door...The seat portion is actually shorter on length and height than the pinnacle that Sarah used.
