Solar panel

14 bounder 35K, and was on the roof cleaning up, getting ready to go camping next weekend, and saw a solar panel mounted on the 1st a/c unit zone 1.

being as the dealership did not mention it, is this normal? I have nothing that mentions it, and also this is used unit but new to me, as we brought it @ dealership trading in my 5th.

thank you,

bill

Probably a 10 watt panel to "trickle-charge" start bats--basically useless as a charging source.

Agree. It's hooked up to the BCC so positive if it's the starting batt only. Really just a marketing gimmick as it is so small

If it's the same as mine it's a 20 watt panel and it is hooked up the the BCC to charge the coach batteries. That said it puts out about 1 amp so just enough to keep the batteries from going dead but not enough to provide any meaningful charge. I took it off when I added 320 watts of solar to the rig.
