Solar roof panel on A/C

I replaced the old panel with the following...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Once replaced I noticed the LED inside on the backside of the AC panel not lighting up. So I ordered the following LED...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/182431660522

Prior to replacing I used a voltmeter and confirmed that indeed the light was the culprit. Installed the new LEW and bingo...working as intended!

Anyone know if the trickle charge charges both the chassis and house batteries or just the chassis?

I would guess on a 1994 the solar panel was not stock? Probably added by a PO. So it might make a difference how he wired it. I'm pretty sure on my Winnebago 06 it only charges the chassis batteries.

On my '16 Bounder it is wired to the coach batteries via the BCC.
This is what I have in my spreadsheet:

F18 Solar Panel Connector P4-3 5A Coach

FYI, the panel is so small I would not have replaced it. It does basically nothing IMO.

The old one does appear stock. The way it was wired and a fuse placed up front (engine bay firewall). The old panel was attached to a metal frame.

You can actually see the old one in the following video. My old one was exactly as his.

The following was a reply from one from the Youtube video...

TO ALL WHO HAVE DONE THIS UPGRADE: Your battery won't change any longer, because micro fuse 1/2 amp will blow. After installing a larger panel, replace micro fuse to 2 amp. Fuse located under shrinking tube on the same wire where RED indicator LED is. Remove vent cover, disconnect connector. Fuse located between RED LED and connector. Cut shrinking tube and find GREEN micro fuse. You are welcome !

The LED light that I linked does indeed appear to have the micro fuse installed and shrink wrapped. Looking at the old wire harness it did not.

I have same set up on my 2000 workhorse.. it is O.E.M. from southwind.. it only charges chassis battery.. very tiny.. and I thought the micro fuse was for the led.. not the wiring to chassis because I have 3amp in driver's side fuse box under hood.. and when I looked at the connection at a/c.. it looked like micro fuse went to led and the solar current passes on to chassis battery by the 3ap fuse.. interesting.. I have new led to put in.. I will try to check it again.. the wiring looks like it could handle 10amps or so.. so.. thinking about adding 100w panel.. nice upgrade.. thanks for post.. a lot of 2nd and 3rd owners out there and I am seeing more and more questions on this..

After replacing the old panel the LED was on for just a short time. Then it went out (blew). The new panel was too much for the LED. No LED...No charge. With the LED I linked to it includes the micro fuse wrapped to the wire.
