The heater vent outlet on the passenger side floor is real easy to bump or kick it closed. I need to figure out a way so these don't close or move so easily.

2019 Fleetwood Southwind 37F Review

Compared to the 37FP:
Same floor plan up to the rear bathroom. The concept of the 37FP Extended Living porch was very nice. We have dogs that love being outside and not being on a leash was attractive. However, the half bath was too small and with the rear night door closed, the rear bath area was very restricted. The 37F’s 2nd full bath is nice. The shower is much roomier than the mid lav shower. The optional washer/dryer is a nice addition. However, our unit does not have the W/D but does have the pre-install. For $2000 I can add the W/D later. Without the W/D, the existing cabinet does offer a nice cabinet for bathroom storage.

Our Southwind colors:
Exterior, Imperial (Blue)
Interior, Sable (bark brown fabric/leather)/Cappuccino (light brown cabinets)

Starting from the front. Drivers seat is comfortable. I feel like it gives me a slightly lower view from my previous RV, Thor ACE. Steering is tighter than ACE due to stabilizer bars. I like the mounted fans. Dash displays are nice and convenient on both sides of steering wheel. Center dash actually does have a pull out drawer. Initial walk thru, passenger seat rotation is restricted by dog house, unless the footrest is partially raised. Front window power day/night shade is nice. Other side windows throughout have manual day/night shades.

Technology Package:
Cell phone booster: not sure how to operate at this time.
Wifi extender: Haven’t gotten it to capture house wifi while in driveway, work in progress.
Roof mounted Solar Panel: Assume it will aide in maintaining battery charge. No feedback due to RV stored inside.
Front camera: Connections are installed, but camera was missing. Replacement ordered by dealer.

Light control system is nice. Did notice from back rooms that the top button is for the current room’s light.

Overhead bunk is smooth. Mattress is thin but may be comfortable due to memory foam.

Cabinet storage in living area/kitchen is minimal. Wish there was more. We have the theater seating, comfy. We have factory induction cooktop, not optional upgrade gas burner and oven. We like the added kitchen storage without oven. Cook top does not have a surface cover. Water heater is on demand and provides hot water pretty quickly for my one shower so far.

Above theater seats in cabinet is the two DISH Wally receivers/blue ray player and video distribution system. All tv’s except the one across from bunks can view either source.

Fireplace is nice. Does provide heat.

Mid lav is roomy. Vacu-flush system for lavs is something to get used to.

Will probably use bunks as a wardrobe. Lift top bunk and now have larger closet.

King bed was a must. Under bed storage is nice. Has gas struts to hold open.

Rain covers over the 3 power vents are nice.

Exterior:

After first weekend in storage, learned about Inverter disconnect…dead batteries.

Exterior storage seems very plentiful! Lots of pass thru bins.

RV sits higher than previous unit. Needed to purchase a 8” drop for tow hitch receiver. We tow a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. From what I felt, power was good. I tend to cruise at 65mph.

50A power cord is on a electric retracting reel. Nice bottom hole for pass thru.

Utility compartment is convenient and nicely organized. Water filtration filter is behind outside water hose panel. Not easy to reach to change filter.

Fresh water tank easily to view, drain and fill.

Gonna like the 7kw generator upgrade.

Called Fleetwood Tech Support and they emailed me several schematics and manuals.

So far, very pleased.

GMac66, outstanding review. We walked thru a Southwind 37F on Saturday, figuring the quality would be virtually the same as the 37FP.

It certainly felt like a better built coach than the other tier 4 Class A gassers we've been looking at. I think we found our unicorn.[emoji3060]

Should be a hose hook up to the right of the fresh water hook up that says San-T-Flush.
