I have a 1990 Southwind and mine is under the refridgerator as well. However it isn't removable from the front. I had to remove the fridge and unscrew the fridge floor to get at it! PIA I tell ya!!!

Mine is under the fridge as well. It is a converter, not an inverter.

95 Southwind

Impulse bought a 1995 Southwind 30ft at an auto auction. Interior is super clean but needs quite a few repairs (water pump, generator, AC, fridge, oven, backup cam). Excited but also not a mechanic and wondering how insane we were to jump in like this. Hopefully we can find some good resources on this forum

Any advice welcome!
Particularly how T.F. to access the water pump when it's behind a very inconvenient outdoor shower panel that would take a full day to detach 0_0

2003 32v

own a 2003 32v fleetwood southwind . Big gas hog chev under the hood, bucket seats, 2 door, what more could you want. My pride and joy. Every time I use it I end up with a fix list to do when I get home. If you don't, your not paying attention. new rattle, lite quit working, check tire pressure again (every 6 mo). etc, etc. It feels real good when you sit down in that overstuffed seat, start up that 500 cu in big block, knowing every system aboard is in order, drop it in drive and head out. Be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. RV'ing is great but if nothings working it can become a real pain. Ask a few questions on this site or You tube the problem, Most RV problems are fixable with a little help you can find on the computer.
give it a try, save a ton of money. :thumb , Don't worry , be happy, Dogman101

2004 36e

New to site with a '04 Southwind 36e. Purchased about 2 yrs ago in good cosmetic shape but after getting it home found mice had gotten into the wiring at dealership. So after non-use for a year and $10k later it's now in use. Only 45k original miles but needs some updates. Would love any tips, tricks and help as we are new RVers. Also looking to get help finding the owner's information package as referenced in the owner's manual.
