Southwind solar panel

I bought a used 2006 Southwind 32', it has a solar panel on the front A/C cover, and a red light on the inside A/C cover, which is showing a charge. I do not think it is charging. Where can I find a wiring diagram, and is there a fuse, if so where is it? Which battery does it charge, engine or house.
Thanks in advance for the help.

The small solar panel provides a trickle of charge to the batteries when in full sun. For wiring diagrams, contact Fleetwood Customer Service at 800-322-8216; they will email the diagrams for all the systems in your RV. You will need to provide your "FIN" (Fleetwood Identification Number) from your coach.

Here is an explanation of the solar panel from another thread on this topic...

And it is so small that it is essentially useless anyway. Might get one amp out of it in full midsummer sun. Maybe. I've had two coaches with those little panels on the a/c (a Southwind and a Dolphin) and neither did anything measurable, though the Southwind lit its indicator light once in awhile.

Sarah, Thank you.

Roger

PS: Where do I find my FIN? Is it somewhere on the info sheet inside the bedroom closet?

You are quite welcome, Roger. I'm trying to remember where the FIN is posted in our Bounder...I want to say it's on the wall next to the driver's seat. There is also a sticker on our RV on the outside, under the driver's rearview mirror. (Sorry, but it's across town in storage or I would go and look!) If you have the build sheet in your paperwork, the FIN will be on that.

Edit to add: Here's a pic of the sticker under the driver's mirror on the outside of the Bounder...

The info may also be on the paper posted on the inside of your closet.

I believe it's also on the inside wall by the drivers seat.

If the red LED is on, then the solar panel system is working as designed. 5 watts is aprox 0.4 amps. It was only designed to maintain your chassis battery when parked. You'll find a 3 amp fuse for you solar system in the battery control center.
