If you turn the key to the on position (engine off) does the "Check Charging System" light come on? It should prove out as all the other indicator lights do. That indicator light might not be letting you know there is an issue. Overcharging may not turn the "Check Engine" light on because it's not an emissions issue.

The description in the shop manual states that the F53 motorhome & F59 use a smart charging system. I would see if there are any continuous dtc's in memory, and then run a KOER test.

Note that many code readers may not display non emission codes or be able to run a KOER test. Also, if your scan tool is capable of reading PID's you could see what the PCM sees, maybe the PCM doesn't think it's overcharging. Could be an issue on the GENMON line or the regulator itself.

What is the ambient temp? My solar charger raises over 15V with lower temperatures.
