I think what they are referring to is the intake ducts. My current Montana also has it. While it is quieter, it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me. I actually like the noise to sleep.

I believe they are talking about the Tiffin having the return ducted so it is basically silent in the RV. Newman does the same and there is no comparison to the Bounder honestly. One thing I regret about the Bounder is that noise when the ac/heat pump is on

The noise doesn't bother me as long as I am cool. It helps to block out the campground noise or other outside sounds so I sleep better.

We bought a 2017 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35K which is the same motor home as the Bounder. Things I don't like are, Awning it is the pits. , Sofa is not very comfortable, would be much better with two lazy boy recliners. Not terribly fond of the sewage vacuum pump, quite noisy and I can see problems down the road. I like the floor plan very much, its easy to watch TV. I think there could be more care taken when they manufacture it. Lots of mistakes. Love the inside lighting system but it looks to be very complicated. Just check, check, check before you turn over the money. I had mine in the repair center for about 3 months out of the first year.

I have the 2017 Bounder 35K which is the same as yours. I bought it used and had it in the shop for a month already and it's heading back in asap as it still has some issues.
I really like the floorplan. Hate the sofa. We are pulling the sofa and dinette and putting our LaziBoy sofa and love seat in it's place. LOL Got 6" to spare.
That VacuFlush system has been around a long time. I think the best plan on that system is to be proactive and learn how it works. Take the panel off and look at it. Know ahead of time where all the components are. And just in case carry an entrenching tool in case you have to dig a hole cause it that system quits you can't flush.
But love the 35K.

I spoke with the owner of a new 2018 Fleetwood Southwind 35-36' last week.
The coach was clearly marked "Southwind", but it had the style of the Bounder.
He explained that Fleetwood dropped the top model Bounder LX in 2018 and re-branded it Southwind!
The front cap was much more square/flat than earlier Southwinds as was the rear cap.
Interestingly, when we toured the factory in Decatur in May 2017, we were told by the tour guide that Fleetwood would not have a 2018 Southwind in the line up, but would not explain why.
Maybe this explains it, but not really sure why they would do it.
The web site doesn't support any of this in the photos!
The Southwind and Bounder have always been 2 distinct models.
Has anyone seen or heard anything similar?

Looks like the website shows the Southwind with the same nose as the Bounder for 2018. Similar design in the front nose and cap (and presume the same dash and cabinets now) means it's cheaper for them to build IMO.
Smoke and mirrors is marketing. Ewwwww, there is the New Bounder this year. LOL, same poor construction process and 22k chassis I bet as they still go down the same line. Once the kinks get worked out they are fine.
