"SPEED WARNING" announcement. How to turn it off?

My 2015 Discovery has a radio/nav system with no brand name I can find. There was no manual in my bag of documents. Whenever you exceed the speed limit, this blaring SPEED WARNING announcement blasts thru the speakers at full volume. It's really unnerving even though I've gotten used to it. Normally this would t be a problem since I rarely exceed the speed limit. But there are occasions where this is a real pain. Like if you're on a long, single lane road that can easily support 65 mph, the speed limit is 55 and you end up with a huge line of cars stacked behind you. People do really stupid things to get past you and I'd rather drive a bit faster, but that warning is so loud.

Is anyone familiar with this nav system? It almost looks like some sort of Android based radio. I've been through all the settings I can find and don't see a way to shut the announcements off

jondrew-

May be a Rand McNally inside. Does the user interface look like this? If so a user manual for the 7720 model is available here.

Could it be a Visteon VNMC 1000 system? I had to search using Google to find a manual. But the manual says nothing about the GPS functions.

A call to Fleetwood tech support might be in order.

In passing, I note this interesting patent lawsuit involving the Visteon VNMC 1000 and Rand McNally 7720. It could be a case of patent trolling.

There should be a way to set the thresholds for such announcement. I have a windows based NAV system which I have set to warn when 10 over the speed limit.

Thanks for the replies. I finally found the menu under RV settings. I shut the audio warning up and set the threshold to 10 MPH over.

Sounds like you have some variant of the Primo/IGO software from Naviextras.com

Did you also see in the menu where you can set your profile to truck, input height, width and weight and set warnings for those parameters also? Map updates are also available from the web site previously mentioned as well as other less reputable sources.
