I guess it can vary where the fuse is from what I hear. I love how zilch is marked for fuses etc. But I do believe most of the time the step fuse is in the fuse box under the engine hood.
I just had the same issue with my Bounder which is similar to yours. Open your door, go under the motorhome (clear of the steps) and look for a 4 prong plug. It is about 18" inward from the steps. Unplug it. Then plug it back in and see if your step amber light comes on. Some don't have the step light but if you do you'll see it at the forward part of the steps underneath. If the light comes on you have power. If that light comes on you could have various issues that can be hard to trace. On mine it was (I think!!!) the ground wire was not making full contact.
You can go to My LCI and they have pretty complete diagnostic info. There is an APP for your phone.
Bottom line is----You could have a bad connection someplace. I really like using die electric grease in those plugs. Keeps the contacts from corroding and helps to keep water out.
You could have a bad motor or control module which to me is stupid on something as new as this.
And make sure to lube all those pivot points on those steps. I use that garage door spray lube and it seems to work great.
Good Luck
