Completed slide out fascia remodel.

Bold look, but the black goes very well and enhances the countertops in the kitchen color, updates it very nicely. I was surprised by how good it does look!

Now a medallion for the center of the galley slide......and I want to clear silicone around the base of the leg by the kitchen sink, to prevent water penetration into the new trim. All the black is primer/paint combo and the trim was primed, so it has a double coat of primer and paint.

That was what started all this slide remodel in the first place was all the old bubbly water penetrated mdf that had come loose over the years. Shouldn't (knock on wood-lol) have that issue anymore....

I'm stopping for this year. Carpet (new flooring) is on the big wish list next year or two....

Not fun things but on the back burner that need to be done:

I have to get the furnace vent re-located (yes, procrastination, I know) under the sofa....

Maybe a medallion for the center of the galley slide....

Need to wallpaper/fill the holes in the dinette about knee high where the old booths were anchored....

Install new rear and front cap marker lights.....

Re-paint the cabinet hinges to match the handles, just gonna spray paint them the nickel....unless I find new ones cheaper.....

Maybe new backsplash for the kitchen area, some of those cool panels that look like metal but are really just vinyl....

Work on the cable signal for the local antenna....

Plus of course the normal maintenance of course, including an annual maintenance coat of Poli Glow....

hmmmmm.....I guess there's always something to do eh!

New backsplash over wallpaper border

These panels fit nicely and will update the galley a little bit.
These are the stick and no grout from Lowe's. They look great and tie in the new handles, the new curtain fabrics, sofa, all together!

The new panels are stick in place, are not installed yet, I just set them up there to see what they look like.

I will remove the flower wallpaper border between the plexiglass divider and the window.....

I haven't decided whether I'll run it all the way up to the cabinets or just the one layer across.

Either way, it really helps the look of the countertops and updates it quite nicely.

That's going to look nice, Kent. If it were me, I'd go all the way up to the cabinets. If we didn't have the corian backsplash I'd be buying those, too.

I need to find someone who has a wet saw to help install that stuff that knows what they are doing. I need to talk to my neighbor, she has a great flooring/tile contractor friend....
