Test drove Discovery LXE 40M

We just looked at and test drove the 40M and loved it, except for one thing. The driver and passenger seat head rest. There is no way to adjust the head rest and it sits to low. I’m only 5’10 so not that tall, but the head rest is more at the top of my shoulders and not that comfortable to drive. I guess I could take it to a auto upholstery place and maybe they could undo the stitching, take the cushion off the head rest and restitch. How have others dealt with this, or am I the only one that has had this problem?

Must be a seat design change since our 2018 was built. I don't have an issue with the head rests in our coach and I'm about 5'9". Did you verify the seat issue on other Fleetwoods the dealer may have had on his lot?

We've had our 40D for about a year and a half and overall we are very pleased with it. Though if I had known the hydronic heat was coming, I would have waited for a 2019 model.

It does look like a change in their seats. We have just looked at the one LXE so far, but have seen pics in RVTrader and they all looked like that.
I think we are down to between the LXE 40M and the Thor Venetian J40. I know a lot of people say to stay away from Thor and we did have some problems with out ACE early on, but the past two years it has been trouble free.
How have you found the quality of your Discovery? I have heard some pretty good things about them.
