Thermostat issues

Actually, it’s not the thermostat. 2001 fleetwood discovery, 37u, zone 1will not show up on the thermostat. Zone 2 shows up and works fine. If I pull it off the wall and disconnect the thermostat for a few minutes then hook it back up, zone one will show up for maybe a second or two then it goes to zone two and I can’t switch it. I think I read somewhere that it gets its feed from the zone one ac??? If that’s my problem, how do I diagnose it? Zone two ac and heat work fine, just no zone one. I thought maybe I needed a new thermostat, so I bought and replaced it with the exact model.
Looking for some guidance on troubleshooting
Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue. SHELBURNE RV walked me through it over the phone and found the problem. It was the panel on my Expedition by the bed.It feeds the thermostat on a 5 amp fuse and had a crack by the solder joint.
Breaker box INTL F73-1 ,is what I replaced and fixed my issues.

Communication is provided through the rg11 plug from the tstat to the first unit then daisy chained to the second unit
Unplug the cables from both units and check the plugs for ANY CORROSION AT THE BASE OF THE CONNECTION NO MATTER HOW SMALL. Clean connections Gently with a Plastic Brush Only and 3M contact cleaner. ANY contamination on the contacts WILL cause this issue
P/M me if you have questions
