Things you didn't know about your Excursion thread...

Stealing an idea thread from the Palazzo forum. We are new to the 2013-2017 Excursion and looking to learn from others.

I have read things like being able to keep a memory foam mattress on the drop down bed when closed. Also, I now know what and ICC switch is.

There is a new color for 2017 also, Caribbean Slate

Please add things that you have found about your coach.

That red switch is most likely your engine heater. I believe mine is labeled as such. Have never needed to use it though, even in some very cold weather. Enjoy. Dan

I am looking at installing 4-5 of the Flexible solar panels on the rv. I like the low profile design. I know they are not quite as good as the rigid models, but it's what works for us.

The question is where is the solar pre-wire on the roof and where does it run to?

I assume with this setup we would only need to but the panels and a charge controller and should be an easy DIY install.

The drop down bed on my 2014 had an air mattress. We replacedw it with a 5" memory foam I got on Amazon. You can just leave it there when you put the bed back up

I also just purchased a 33A last week, 2014. I'm a first time RVer. I purchased from an individual not a dealer. I did not get much training on the operation of everything on the panels. I don't see an air mattress, for the overhead bunk. The manuals I have don't seem to show much. How would I go about learning more?
Thanks for any help you can give. I drove it from Las Vegas to New Mexico.

You're correct Judy, the manuals are somewhat vague as far as operation of items in the coach. You should have the freightliner manual for the chassis, the Cummins manual for the engine and the Oman manual for the generator. Its worth going through those and identifying which section applies to your coach. This is s good thread to ask questions and I'm sure people will he willing to help you figure your coach out

Take some pictured of panels you have questions about and we can help explain what the things do

With a mattress on the drop down bed, I cannot put the bed up all the way, I thought maybe you had a trick that would allow the bed to go all the way up. JH
