Throttle problem on a 2003 Fleetwood Discovery

Have a problem with my Fleetwood Discovery. When in neutral, l have a throttle when pushed the RPMs go up to over 3000, but when l put in gear, forward or reverse, l have no throttle. I can feel it go in gear, but when l push the pedal it goes to 800 RPMs and the pedal goes soft. Had it on a Cat diagnostic laptop and it showed no codes. I'm am very mechanical but at a loss with this. Help!

So you took your diesel engine up to over 3,000 RPM. Do you know the RPM redline of your engine?

Thanks for pointing out my typo error. I thought l put 2000 RPMs. I'm battling brain cancer and it affects my eye sight as well as my ability to hit the right keys. That doesn't solve my problem, but I'm glad l made your day.

My reply did not make my day, I also live in PA and would be willing to take a look at your motorhome if we live somewhat close to each other my zip is 18103 and I have owned a Cat engine for 18 years.

When was your last engine air, fuel filter change out? Let me know if I can help.
