Tire pressure on '98 bounder TAG

My dad has the RV out and checking tire pressures and he does not know what they are supposed to be. I had him check the info sheet in closet but nothing there but weights. I searched the manual online and searched this forum and the Internet to no avail. FYI, the RV lightly loaded since this first trip. He has 80 psi in front and dual wheels and only 60 in the tag. What are the correct pressures for all 8 tires?

Hi burgman50.

We really can't tell you the correct pressures as they vary by tire size & brand and the normal travel weight of the motorhome.

Your dad needs to get the motorhome weighed and preferrably weighed at each axle and each side. Then go to the web site of the tire manufacturer and find the load/pressure charts. Getting it weighed can also help determine how the coach should be loaded to insure he is not overweight on an axle and also side-to-side balance.

All that said, since you mention 80 lbs, I am assuming he has 16" tires under his Bounder. As a comparison, I have a Ford chassis with the 16" tires and a tag so my motorhome MIGHT be similar. After doing a full, individual tire weighing I run 75 Front; 70 rear and 50 Tag. The weight charts actually indicate I should run 40 on the tag but I'm not comfortable that low.

Hi Nick.
Thanks for the reply. Ours does indeed have the 16" . I'll be using the bounder in a week so Ill find a weigh station once its loaded and get the tires inflated correctly. Ours is the 36s, so I would assume your Santara is a close match, and since it is lightly loaded, and all the water tanks will be empty, your tire pressures will be what I tell him to use.
Thanks for your input!
