This is what we have currently in our Motor Home and my wife really does not like the combination of screen and curtains.

I know it's too late to help you but for the next person to try instead of the rocking motion try using a wood stick about the size if a yard stick but only a foot or so long just enough to clear the valence and with the stick sideways push up on the shade at the clip location it works like a champ, in fact I keep that stick handy just in case I might ever need it.

We have the same setup for the windshield. But all of our other windows have MCD day/night shades on them, except the kitchen. I think Lori's coach has MCDs on the driver and passenger windows instead of curtains.

DW and I measured ours and ordered all eleven shades and installed them ourselves. Including the power windshield day and nite shade. Are they worth it? YES...they are to us. Especially the windshield, we consider it to be a safety item when dealing with the sun while driving. This is the only sun visor that actually works in the five DP's we have owned!

The windshield comes in at $795.00 + tax & Labor, the side windows run about $370.00 each + tax & labor...these prices come from MCD Innovations website.

We work with a couple of RV Dealers in the area that order parts and can order the House area shades- just as you can. Las Vegas RV - which is now Camping World 702-896-9000
and Las Vegas RV Doctor 702-473-5362. They have not been here for any training- so they cannot order the cockpit shades.

Wow. That's close to $2000. We spent about $100 to have the curtains lined with blackout material. I couldn't see throwing away a perfectly good Auto Motion motorized windshield shade that FW installed. Luckily my DW likes the look
:-). All if our other windows were replaced with Auto Motion shades ( same type as the MCD ). We really like them.

The good stuff isn't cheap. I am having second thoughts about replacing my cockpit shades at this time, because of a couple of factors, not least of which is the cost. If a dealer was local I would be more inclined to swap the shades out. I have to add the cost of travel, either to Texas for a factory install (approximate $944.00 fuel cost each way) or to a dealer in Arizona (only 170 miles each way).

I might take the advice from others and order the coach shades myself and start there. It would be loads of fun without the money.
