Toilet no flush

2022 Discovery LXE 40g. Camping the week after a guest used the toilet it will not flush. Water pumps and then a short sound of the motor runs but does not remove the waste. Is there a way I can jump the motor to try and cycle it? Using the pedal also adds water making it more difficult!

What’s the black tank level. I would start by dumping the tanks. If you have been camping for a week, then are probably full. Also need to know what type of toilet you have.

Guest used it....doesn't flush

Turn power off to toilet
Reach down thru bowl into the pump intake and remove the clog

**High Black Tank level cut out would NOT allow pump to run at all

Depending on Model you may have a Manual means of operating to clear clog

Brand/Model would be helpful

If you have the same toilets that I have in my ‘20 Vacationer, they have two settings. One is designed to save on water I think, and the other will give you a good flush. I believe the procedure to switch between the two is to depress the foot pedal and hold for about 10 seconds. My guess is that your guest held the pedal down and accidentally switched modes

Not familiar with newer systems but it sounds like you have a dry siphon issue if you have a sewage pump/clogged or if you have the gravity flush will require the short flexible snake to release the clog.

Thanks all. Took a manual unclog with flexible snake. Instructed family to be sure they get a clear water flush after all number 2s. I believe we had an incomplete maseration followed by a second use with too much paper!

The macerators can clog with too much tp and too little water. Have a frequent guest that can't figure it out.... No one else clogs but they do it all the time. If it's just a clog, I let it sit for 15 mins to let the tp break down. Most of the time I don't even have to do anything, let it sit - it just breaks down and the next flush sends it on its way. Helps that I have the bath and a half floorplan so it isn't an urgent problem

You probably have a vacuum lock. It happens occasionally. Turn your bathroom sink faucet on while you flush it; it should work. You’ll have to do this from time to time. I have 2015 40G and it does this sometimes.
