Trim Rivets

It looks like Fleetwood/REV has abandoned its technical assistance link on their website so I am turning to you all to help me out. I’ve had 2 rivets pop on the trim piece that separates the gel coat from the lower painted body on my 2002 Fleetwood Terra. I’m thinking it may be time to remove reseal and replace the rivets as part of maintenance. I need to know where I can get these WHITE cap rivets (or were they painted once installed) and what size they may be? I replaced the popped ones with screws temporarily.
TIA

I purchased brown pop rivets from Home Depot for a gutter project on my home. I suspect they also have white pop rivet options. May have been in the gutter area as opposed to fastener area. It has been 4-5 years ago.

I suspect they are standard diameter, the length is probably fairly short. I have a pretty good assortment with my rivet gun, I would probably just poke around, find a size I like, then find them in white.

Hope this link works, and consider Lowes or Ace Hardware as well.

These are for a suspended ceiling, might be just the part.

We were a Fleetwood dealership. Fleetwood uses aluminum rivets in their coaches. When you install a aluminum rivet into a steel frame, it will cause the aluminum to corrode over a period of time.
We always bought the rivets in raw metal and painted them to match.

Fred, use a magnet and see if the original pop rivet's are aluminum or steel. I see the trim looks hollow (raised) a steel pop rivet may take too much pressure to pop and cause the trim to collapse. Aluminum will pop at lower pressure. I use white aluminum rivets 1/8" and 3/16th the white paint it not going to match your trim color.

I recently replaced my roof.. mine is all aluminum framed coach.. the chassis is steel.. I couldn't find white rivits.. I was able to get 1 out in tact so I could get the style, shank size and length.. I found mine at Greenshields.. my rivet heads were dished not flat.. that limited me on colors...
