Triton v10 Fuel Economy !
Ok we know a strange thing to ask and all depends on how its driven ect. But can we ask.
As we are in the UK and our 1999 Bounder 34J has been converted to run on LPG as well as Petrol, she is 9.5 ish ton and we flat tow a small car .
What if actually ran on Petrol only would we get per gallon. We know our gallon is different to USA gallon, but would like a rough ball figure.
As said we run on LPG which equivalent to a gallon of petrol, we get14/15.

Somewhere in the 7-9 mpg range. Using U.S. measurements.
Is your 14-15 miles or kilometers?

If you were in the USA I would say between 7-8 MPG measurements. I average about 8 mpg in my class C towing a Jeep GC 4800 pounds.

I've been getting 7 miles per U.S. gallon, in flat country with a mix of speeds, but mostly at 62 miles per hour. I tow a 2,800-pound car.
Did you convert the Bounder to left-hand drive? If not, it must be interesting to drive, especially through the roundabouts.

And Yes she is still Left Hand Drive, original USA spec. Must say many say How do you manage on the small roads in UK, as in USA the roads are bigger.. But as we have been to USA and will be back to find a nice B or C class to do 6 month travels once the Lurgie has settled down. USA roads are just the same width, just more of them.
Also if a refuse truck can get down them, then we can.
12 years travels in UK and Europe and not found a road to small to stop us...But a couple of seat of pants ones ?.

Thank you.
Thought about 7 to 8 on the v10. As we will be looking for a B or C class for extended trips in USA, are the Chevy v8s any better on fuel.

With my data you get details. No doubts, no guesses, no "abouts".
I have a spreadsheet and track all the details including adjusting for generator use. Highways I do 62 mph. I do have an engine tune installed.
'16 v10 25,948 lbs class A with towed.
26,024 miles all across the USA
6.3 mpg average after 5.5 years (bought Sept. 2015)

Atleast we know what to expect if ever run petrol only. Think we will run LPG a bit longer as long as the numbers stack up. As said we get 14 equivalent to a gallon of petrol , this is all running, flat, motorways, up and down hills.

No. The horsepower is about the same and the number of cylinders that produce it makes no difference. The big Chevy V8 is actually a larger engine - 8.1L vs 6.8L for the V10. The 6.0L V8 is also about the same for the 360 hp it produces.

A gallon of Propane has 27% less energy then a gallon of Gas ( Petrol ) .
There is no way that propane will get the same mpg as gasoline .
On the negative side , considerably more propane will be consumed than gas for the same amount of distance driven.
On the positive side , the vehicle will run cleaner .

IF and a big IF you do get those mileages you won the lottery. I have the 99 southwind 35'. When I travel south towing the suv I get 7-7.2MAX mpg. That is nat 105KM/hr or about 65mph. Propane , cleaner , and if you are content with the performance ENJOY IT! My F150gets less mpg than your mh, I average 17l/100km.

As we said in posts, We get 14 equivalent to a gallon of petrol. Which is actually 9 ltrs of LPG. LPG varies from half the price to two thirds the cost of a litre of petrol in UK.

So ,
- 14km equals 8.6mi.
- 3.8 liters equals 1 gallon of petrol.
As I read your post , you are burning 9 liters of LPG to go 14km .
That converts to 8.6 miles per 2+ gallons of petrol .
It appears on LPG you are getting approximately 4.25 mpg .
Cost wise , as long as LPG costs less than half the cost of petrol you might break even on fuel cost but burn a lot more fuel in the process .
Please correct me if I have misunderstood the numbers.
