Curious if anyone has successfully removed their diamond shield nose protection and how they did it?
Thanks in advance

My 2006 Newmar came with Diamond shield. I drove that rig for 13 years before down sizing to current rig. At about the 8 year mark it looked so bad, I took it to a Newmar dealer, the largest in the nation (Fort Myers, FL exit 141 on I-75) and they warned me the paint was going to come off , and did it. wow! They sent me pictures. They repainted it and did an excellent job, even put the name of the model on the front again. BUT, it was costly, but I wanted that stuff off and will never put it on another rig! After I did that I learned of a fellow here in SWFL that can take it off W/0 removing the paint. Great reviews. Wish I would have discovered him before I had it done. Anyone want his name, I will try and find him again.
I kept the front coated with several coats of GOOD paste wax and never had a bug problem after that. I do mean SEVERAL coats of GOOD wax.

My front end had turned almost black due to mold behind it. I grabbed one side and peeled it off. It did take most of the clear coat with it but still looks 100 times better.

I've watched a bunch of ugly shield videos and im curious what's in the secret spray they sell.
So far ive used goof off and goo gone and neither seems to remove the glue with ease like uglyshields product.

I am doing this on my coach and using the rapid remover. The RR works just like the Ugly Juice. Use it as lube to remove the film, and then as a solvent to remove the glue along with some scraping. FYI, I have some small razor blades that help with the release of the glue.

Whats the cost (approximately) to have it removed? Ours is on an ‘09 Tradition, its been kept inside, doesnt look real bad yet, just kind of, well dry I guess. im wondering if I would be ahead of the game to remove it. I cleaned it up well, applied 303, it looks much better.

It cost me around $2000.00 but Dimond Shield came to my house and removed the old and installed new, excellent job and it looks brand new still today. And the new is guaranteed for life

Ugly Shield in Ft. Myers removed it from my ‘05 Dutch Star. Father and son team. Took them most of the day. However the front looked brand new when they were done. No clear coat problems. It was well worth the cost.
