Under Step light and Driver Side Porch Light
Hey Everyone,
2000 Bounder 31 M
Cant for the life of me figure out how to turn the "under the step" light on.
Same problem with driver side porch light. Main porch light works just fine..
Checked both bulbs and they are good (swapped with known working bulbs).
Any ideas?
Eric

My "under the step" light comes on with my Kwikee step switch when the step is out/extended.
On my coach, (not a Bounder), there are dash switches and switches over the entry door for the "docking lights" on both the curb and street side.... as well as a "porch light switch" over the entry door.

To turn on understep light..... OPEN THE DOOR.
Porch light I can not help you with but usually it is a 2 or 3 position switch, mine is just inside the door (3 position up = porch, Center off, Down = porch light AND service light,, Either position also lights my grab handle)

Open the door stair light come on. Street side light is a switch marked utility on my dash. Curb side light was a switch just inside the door until I replaced it with a motion sensor light.

There is a switch on the dash that controls both the under hood light and the left side porch light. On the older Bounders the switch was illuminated and green.

My 99 Bounder has the switch next to the door. The switch for the overhead light also turns on the step light.

Rls is right, you have a switch on the dash for the drivers side scare light. Step light should come on when you open the door or when porch light is on.

Thanks everyone. Figured out the under step light. On my Bounder key needs to be in ignition and either in the lock or On position. When steps extend, under step light comes on. When steps retract, light goes out. Not sure that makes much sense as I would expect the light to come on when you turn the porch light on. I don't ever have the key in the ignition when we are parked and using the rig.... Oh well
Have not yet figured out the driver side "porch" light. Still troubleshooting....
Thanks again
Weather great here in NY. Headed to penn state Friday for rv fun in happy valley...

My light for the drivers side is turn on by a switch on the right of the drivers seat next to the mirror switches.

I have a 2001 31M and the driver side light is marker "Utility" on the dash. It also does control the light under the hood. Good Luck !
