Unknown switch

I found this strange looking switch under the front drivers side just below the horn on a 2010 Bounder. Can anyone identify it for me?

Follow the wires. See where they terminate.

Well, it's a position switch, such as is usually used to operate a light when a door is opened.

Is there a fitting on the hood which will press it down when the hood is closed? If so, it's probably an underhood courtesy light.

Try turning on the lights, then pressing it with your finger and see if any lights go on and off.

On my '98 Bounder there's a switch on the dash that turns what they call a "utility light" under the hood on and off, but there's also a cutoff switch that turns it off if the hood is closed, even if you have the dash switch on.

The switch is sitting all on its own, nowhere close to the hood or anything else that might move.

Hmmm, weird. It's definitely designed to be pressed by *something*. Have you checked to see if anything turns on/off when you press it?

Could be lighting or shadow but it looks like something has been contacting it.
