Using dryer in Southwind

We have a splendid washer dryer combo in our unit and just stared using it. I have a couple of questions, where does the dryer vent through? I see a vent just ahead of the passenger side rear tire and am sure that is it. However when the dryer is running there doesnít seem to be anything come out of it and the machine gets really warm. The small flapper in the vent does it need to be opened by hand or does the air pressure do it as it is hard to open?

If it's hard to open by hand air pressure from the dryer is NOT going to move that flap. You need to see what's going on with that flap. Replace or lube. Check to be sure dryer hose is connected properly and there are no obstructions down stream. Maybe run a snake down that exhaust tube to be sure you have a clean path.

You could just manually open that flap and fix it so it's permanently open. Just make sure where the hot air exits from the MH there a good screen there that can be periodically cleaned and it will also keep critters out.

My 2 cents...

Thanks for the info. I was able to get the flapper opened it was a bit stiff. Now the air flows and the dryer is nowhere near as hot as it was. All seems to be good now.
