VELVAC Chrome Mirrors

I've been looking for chrome touch up "paint" to fill in a few chips and scratches on the back of the chrome over plastic mirror housings.

Any suggestions? I've tried a few auto parts store but no luck.

Thanks

Other than rechroming, you can buy Chrome/aluminum paint at auto/hardware stores. It is not as shiny as original, but maybe clear coat on top would help.

I am interested in this also -- I had to totally repaint one of mine and as another poster noted -- it is not near as shiny.

I was hoping some one would say ---"just use the chrome paint then use this specific shiny clear coat or whatever" -- but have not really heard any good details????

thx Dale

How about this one from Krylon? It's on Amazon, but hobby & craft stores probably have it too.

Hi Gary my sister lives in Ocala, FL and last March we stayed a few days at the RV Park across from Silver Springs/Hwy 40...anyway thanks for the link. I just read several reviews from the link the product does not product a match to chrome. Seems it's more like flat silver. It's strange to me that the auto stores don't carry a high shine chrome paint when all the cars today have chrome over plastic parts!

Many thanks!
