Velvac replacement mirror.

I need just the glass. I have an email into Velvac. Haven't heard yet. Coach/mirror is just 2 months out of warranty. Over the summer the driver's side mirror has been getting cloudy and it is difficult to see in it. The passenger side is fine. On their website my mirror does not come up, Velvac # 717405 or FW # 19-3086, because it is new. Latest is 2009. Going to contact FW too.

Anyway, the part might not be very expensive at all, less than $50? So driving back to the dealer, ... again ...., would burn up a lot of fuel, you know. I need to find a source. I have done an internet search and not found much, anybody have an idea for a source?

I needed replacement glass for mine a few years back.

Ryder Fleet Products was cheapest.

Still have to figure out your part number though, Velvac should be able to do that.

Anybody know what the warranty from velvac is and does it cover the side camera mounted to it?

I found Pacific RV Parts was the cheapest when I had to replace the power head on my Velvac. I also got a pair of the Top Hat convex mirrors that screw on to the existing Velvacs......very welcomed addition.

Our literature says warranty is 1 year. That was up in June for us.

Just need the driver's/left glass as it is fading or clouding up.

I have the part number, VV and FW, and cannot find a replacement because it is so new. VV goes up to 2009 on their website, for instance.

Left side, bad one

Okay. Got the replacement mirror. I'll rip on Fleetwood and Velvac later. I got the top clip out of the old mirror. How can I get it loose without breaking it? Hair dryer, heat gun for the probable glue? Thanks in advance.

Alrighty then,
I warmed the mirror up and worked it loose with a putty knife. The instructions weren't very good. They weren't specific to this mirror. For instance, the removable clip was shown to be on the bottom in the alleged instructions. It was actually on top in real life. That was revealed on very close inspection. They did supply replacement two sided sticky tape, but there was no mention of how to procede. I spent a few minutes on youtube and got some ideas. I got it fixed and it works. And,I wanted the mirror in one piece so I could have it as "evidence" for future reference. This is the eleventy dozenth significant defect I have had to fix or have fixed on this rig. I understand we shouldn't swear or curse on this forum, but I did in real life.
