My Bounder is two years older than your Pace and uses the same BCC mounted under the hood, in the front of the coach. It has the same connections and connectors that your Pace does.
By comparison, with your Pace, my Bounder looks NEW in that area. You can't possibly expect the manufacturer to recall a seventeen year old coach that has been used and abused to the extent you claim that yours has.
Admittedly, the BCC was relocated to a closed bay, in the lateryear coaches, to eliminate the corrosion, but if the cover were left on the BCC those connectors wouldn't have corroded to that extent.

I bought the motorhome 11 months ago. The cover is always on the BCC.
See on this page another BCC of a Pace Arrow vision 1999. It looks like mine. No rust in the BCC but outside and on the connectors.
I would expect the 12 pins white connector in front of the tire for this one to have the same problem. Also I would inspect the plastic washers on the BCC connectors. You should at least inspect it.
A recall for a motorhome is like a recall for planes. You inspect and then realise that 15% could crash or burn. The success of a recall is compute on the ones you saved. I will also get some "thanks".
But yes I admit, that winter storage, previous maintenance and many other factors will give differents results on same model.

Joe and Debbie,
I am talking about 12 bad connections or wiring made by Fleetwood.
None of these 12 are related to the Ford F53 which has the same age.
Even the Twikee steps have sealed connectors and protected wirings for outdoor and are very good after 15 years.
And I did not talk about most of the side lights connectors from Fleetwood I had to solderer.
Do you get it?
Do you expect this non-sealed connector to last 20 years:

Yes. I've been licensed by the Federal Communications Commission for electronics/electrical equipment for nearly 55+ years. They do last that long. I have electrical/electronic equipment in my home that is over 90 years old, and they work perfectly.

Are you sure this doesn't belong in the Humor section?
some corroded connections and nicked cables on a 16 yr old rig and he wants every Fleetwood MH recalled. surely you jest

Your are completly right. Same kind of connector in the BCC lasted 15 years without problem. I did not even have to clean them.
But outdoor, look at the previous pictures. In the front of a truck, the pins and wire are not protected at all. We have salt on our road in Quebec to melt the ice. This salt is bad for metal. And yes, Fleetwood sales motorhome in the north and they say it is good.
Thank you for making me laught today.
N.B.: If an ice specialist tells you that the ice cube did not melt, but you see water on the table where the ice cube was, what would you say? I think you slipped....

1 - Washed everything with water pressure. It also removed most of the paint and removable rust particules.
2 - Washed everything with TSP to remove oil and grease.
3 - Remove all exceding rust and paint with hand tools, mostly scrapers.
3 - Use a rust converter to convert rust into Primer. I have use a coating gun bought on amazon. (This conversion step is not mandatory and is expensive)
4 - Put Tremclad Red Oxyde primer, two coats. 4 gallons. Use a normal paint gun.
5 - Put Black anti-rust paint two coats. I have use a paint for outdoor metal floors. I have use a normal paint gun. 4 gallons.
6 - I then finally went at a welding shop to have repair in a area where corrosion made an hole.
Total cost: 1000$Can.
Two months later I went under the coach and had to clean some area and put primer and paint. Took 30 minutes. I will do this each spring and/or autumn.
My motorhome is like new. Well I mean is better than new. I went to see new expensives Fleetwood coachs and I could see a lot of rust under them. It is not a problem at all but I know my coach is better than new now.
