Warranty work??????
Of course, have some minor problems with our 2 week old Fleetwood Providence. Needing a part for the hood that I'm having Fleetwood send me, at my expense, since dealers are not honoring or doing ANY warranty work until Fleetwood can prove they can pay for work done by the dealers.
I can only hope nothing fails before we get back to Ohio so we can go to the factory to get some minor items corrected. That is, if Fleetwood is doing warranty work!!

I just had warranty work done yesterday here at our dealer with no hassle whatsoever. I think it may be the dealer and not Fleetwood. But then again, I could be wrong since I'm no genius.
Dealer didn't hesitate in replacing anything that needed fixed. I asked about labor cost if Fleetwood didn't honor the warranty repair, they told me it was their problem not mine.

I believe that the warranty will have to be honored by law. I also read the part of the bankruptcy filing was a set aside of money for warranty work. Again I beleive this the law.
If you dealing is refusing to work on your rig, I believe I would try to find another dealer.

Anybody with a warranty is a creditor like any other and has no implicit priority over any other creditor. Nor is there any law requiring that warranties be honored in a bankruptcy. It's up to the company to request that money be set aside for warranty claims and the bankruptcy judge to approve it.
The dealer takes a huge risk doing warranty work in this situation. Even if Fleetwood is still paying today, they may not be by the time the warranty claim gets processed.

Fleetwood asked for and got permission from the court to continue to honor the warranty on RV's currently under their warranty period.

All:
I just had some warranty work completed last week on my '06 39S. Based on my conversations with the dealer, they mentioned that Fleetwood, unlike Monaco, had a provision placed within their Chapter 11 filing that allows for warranty related work to be honored.

I know American Coach is doing warranty work, but again, some dealers may be skittish because they could get left holding the bag if Fleetwood goes under or changes its position. Anything can happen while in bankruptcy. It can take awhile to get warranty reimbursement from the manufacturer in the best of times.

Your Providence is not eligible for factory service. FW only does this for the American line.

Warranty work
Moisheh:
Not sure where your getting your information but I talked to customer service last week and they stated that they will do warranty work at the factory when I make an appointment. Which we will be doing once our travels are over and we get back to Ohio. If you have any new info "from the horses mouth" I'd like to know from whom and when it was stated.
By the way Fleetwood customer service did ship my part to me 2day air so we could get back on the road.
Thanks
Ron K.

RonK;
FW has always had a policy that they do not do factory service unless the unit is sent to them from a dealer and it is something that a dealer cannot handle. I was at the factory 2 years ago in Decatur and they confirmed that statement. Perhaps that policy has changed. I really don't think they are setup to handle a lot of service work. American coaches do get factory service.

While taking a tour at the Riverside factory two years ago I mentioned a problem I was having to the tour guide and he said if I had the time (they would need a couple of days to get it scheduled in) they would fix it.
