Water Connection Sprays

When connected to city water, we are getting an intermittent spray of water (sounds like a relief of pressure) at the hose/faucet connection. It seems to do it about every 10 minutes or so.

We've turned down the water flow from the faucet to almost nothing but it still back sprays. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Is this occurring AT the supply spigot where you connect your hose?

Does the spigot have a 'vacuum breaker' installed?

If YES..sounds like vacuum breaker is faulty.
They will spit water out but should only do so when water supply is turned off

If this is NOT what you are asking about......?????

What is system pressure?
Side Note: closing down on faucet does NOT reduce pressure....just restricts FLOW

Hi Old-Biscuit. Yes, it's happening at the supply spigot. Yes, the faucets at the camp site have vacuum breakers. I don't know the system pressure. Perhaps I have the spigot turned was too low?
