Welcome Aboard. The only water filter our old 98 Discovery had was under the sink, and filtered water to the ice maker. We added a whole coach filter to the water bay.

On our '98 34Q the water filter/UNIT would be located under the bathroom sink.
There is a water shutoff valve sticking straight up from the floor. That would be the input for the water filter. And just behind the sink (way up top when looking up into the vanity) is the 1/4" plastic water tubing connector which feeds the ice maker and the sink spigot. At least that's my setup (which I haven't used yet.) We also have a main water filter and pressure regulator at the water hookup station.

1998 36T - only water filter is under the galley sink. It feeds drinking water spigot. We also use an external input filter. Both are typically good for 1 season.
