Water Pump Replacement

Unfortunately my old water pump has failed,. Despite all my troubleshooting, it will not pump water except for a trickle.

Bought replacement pump and was wondering if anyone is aware of a shutoff valve for the fresh water tank inlet that leads to the pump? Or, is the only way for me to empty the fresh water tank and then replace the pump?

I replaced the water pump in my old campervan and gravity worked in my favor as my fresh water tank was below my pump. From the photo, my fresh tank is above and will likely just empty water once I remove the inlet from the pump.

Thank you.

Why not disconnect the pump discharge hose then remove pump with suction hose still connected

Then disconnect the suction side and hold it up high to drain water in suction hose back into tank. That is enough to break siphon effect.....suction/discharge hoses are looped/mounted above the top of tank

Then install new pump...connect suction/discharge hoses and power wiring
