Just had to change mine--- there are several different motors available. Make sure you get the right motor. If you got a motor that was the wrong torque output might not close or close very slowly.
When mine failed I could hear the motor run but it would not open or close, I ordered the motor when I got the new motor and removed the old motor I found the shaft that drives the awning had come loose from a crimped or swideged joint. If I had known this before I bought the new motor I would have tried to pin or epoxy the joint together. The joint is one half shaft socket with a one half shaft-shaft.
