What happened to the Allegiance?

Was surfing the net looking for nothing in particuliar and saw an ad for the American Allegiance. Brought the ad up and there were two (2) for sale. They were new 09's and 40 - 45% off "MSRP".
Looked further and saw there were plenty of new 09's for sale.
Other than horrific exterior colors, I mistakenly thought "they're going to sell a bunch of these babies". Wrong again!!
Wasn't the underpinnings, a/c's, etc., about the same as say, the Eagle?
Not implying they had the value of the Eagle, no way am I saying that.

I don't follow the Fleetwood owners section, so if this has been brought up before, apologizes all around. What happened?

The Allegiance was dropped in 2011, when the Revolution was brought into the American Coach line-up. Didn't need them both.

From what I know, the Allegiance sold fairly well. It shares a lot of components with the rest of the AC line-up but not everything. Different dashboard, for example.
