we bought an 04 Discovery. we are slowly going over it to "clean it up" and fix little things here and there. my question is..... what is this? I have found two of them on the walls. one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen.

I have two things that are similiar but they are brown and don't have the holes like yours. One is in the kitchen area over the dinette and the other one is in the back bedroom area. They stick out just about far enough to get a coat hanger on. Is that sensors for the air or heater? Or something to hang stuff on? Any ideas?

Most probably the sensors. Find another place to hang your clothes.

They are temp sensors like leadfoot said. I asked the same question. There are small wires in them so don't hang stuff on them!

OMG, this is so funny. I have been wanting to post this same question with a picture. When I read Cliftel's response, I laughed and said "No way" and then I became a believer after reading the additional responses. I would have bet money that they were anything but what the real answer is. THANKS FOR ASKING!!!

I ask guy that worked at rv dealer and showed him. He didn't know and said that it looked like someplace you could hang clothes or something on. never used them for that but glad to know what they are

I don't know what your looking at, but the same thing in my Discovery, is the opposite latch for the folding door, the door has one just like it, so it will stay closed.
