And why these weird screwheads anyway? My furnace access panel has a 4 sided, square screwhead. Why not just throw a phillips in there and call it done? Does Fleetwood just want to screw with us? (no pun intended )

There are two sizes, I use one from a Milwakee multi bit ratchet screwdriver. It's much better than the ones that cone with the screws. I had one that was pretty stripped and what I did was put the driver on the screw and tap it a few times. The screw came out, I chucked it and replaced it. I would say look at others and try the square bit, if it works on a few then that's what you have. I would say 90% it's what you have.

Those are torx drivers, they won't work on square bits.

OK, getting it now. It's an 8 sided "double square" screwhead, but one uses a 4 sided square bit (which comes in multiple sizes) to drive the screw. I assumed they would have put a 4 sided screw head if they wanted me to use a 4 sided screw bit (like they did on my furnace access panel), but alas, that is not the case : )

What kind of (Fleetwood?) screw head is this?

I am guessing it is a double square screw. They are pretty common in trailers. A standard square bit will work, but there are bits that will engage all points.

Oops, I see someone else also suggested the double square.
