What make & model is it?

I bought this jewel Friday. The previous owner had lived in it for years. All I got was a bill of sale. I think it is a Fleetwood Regal. I have a serial #. 4378530, is on the emblem on left side of the door. I plan to live in it til my VA financing comes through. I also need an owner's manual, not giving an arm & a leg, as I am an above the knee amputee already. Comments?...

Hi! Welcome to iRV2. Can you post up some pics? That'd help us a lot since FW made Regals in both TT & 5-r.

I,m slow(speed wise)...

I,m new at this format. It is a 5th wheel. 37' long. I haven,t searched real hard for info inside the TT. I need to find some kind of info panel or something, that's why I sent the serial #. It's not the easiest to get high & low when I have the 14 lb. leg on plus I have COPD. I,m not complaining I,m just slow. I,m OCD(mild) so I absorb info esp. if it helps my project. I think I will really enjoy this dialog. Thank you for responding.

Ok, 37ft 5th wheel. Serial number isn't much help since Fleetwood didn't keep any of the towables info/literature when they sold off that division.

There wouldn't have been an owner's manual for it. There would've been a bunch of manuals for all the systems/appliances in it & if you're lucky a brochure for that brand of 5-r. You can search the internet & download those. All you will need is the make/model of what you have (i.e. Suburban hot water heater/model XX12123, Coleman air conditioner/model 123abc, Dometic refrigerator 8cu ft/model XYZabc....etc).

Is there some kind of number/letters combo next to the entry door (i.e. 375RBQ, 37SS...etc.)? A model number is what you're looking for.

Places to look for info on your RV (that will also give you mfr year, GVWR, UVW...etc):
Metal tag on outside, somewhere on road-side
Inside door of kitchen cabinet
Inside wall of bedroom wardrobe

If there's any way you can post a picture or 2 that would REALLY help us.

"Regal" was used mostly in the Prowler family of trailers from Fleetwood. Is there a year listed anywhere? You are aware, I hope, that without a vehicle title you will be unable to obtain vehicle tags for it, so basically you have a"park model" trailer.

See if any of the Regals in these ads looks like yours:

Thank you to all that info & to the people who contributed comments etc. This is a niche I haven't felt since my service days. If I have questions I know I,ll get feedback from all different angles. I,ll post pics as soon as I can . Since losing my leg in 2006, this is my first attempt to get into construction(hvac-r). Negotiations on salary tomorrow. Wish me luck. I,ll be back Tues. pm.

Thank you. I have a project on my hands. In FL I hope to search & find a title. Also I am a sheet metal mechanic, they are building a $40,000,000 school in the next town over. I,ll need some funds to restore this 5-r(what does that mean).

No reply, huh? I'm still waiting for a response & feedback, if I'm in the right blog(forum). Not a chance to take pics yet, soon. I'll check in the a.m. out...

Probably not many Fleetwood towable owners here. But hang in there. If you can get us pictures as previously requested, those will go a long way towards helping you. Also, you can search the internet for any systems/appliances manuals you need. That'll keep you busy for days.

This section, & others are called forums. Our forums are where people ask questions & discuss RV-ing topics. Blogs are different - that's a section for travelogues/stories/journals...not a place to ask questions.

To answer your question, 5-r is RV-speak for fifth wheel (aka: fiver, 5th wheel)

I really thank you folks for the info & comments. I really like that this is kinda off the grid(so to speak). After I read the rules for being on this site(?) I wish all computers, etc followed the same guidelines. First thing l need to do is find the right UF(wire) to wire it up. We're out here in the country I'll come across some, beg, borrow, barter, it may take a day or two. I know people who know people. As I said I'm OCD, so it will be done right. Also doing a title search.
