Whats missing in all our late model Bounders?
It didnt really occur to me until last year when I lived in ours for 9 months. The vent fan on the microwave does not vent to the outside. Im sure the microwave has the ability to do so but it was installed so that the built in filters the air (slightly) and then recirculates it into the coach. I'm sure it would be better to exhaust it out of the coach but then again you have another hole cut in the sidewall. I wonder if it could be switched but I bet there is other hardware that comes with the microwave that was probably thrown out at the factory. You would of coarse also need the flapper vent that is available at any rv store. Might be a worthy project.

There are trap filters that the range hood uses, but then exhausts out the top of the unit. Ours has a Fantastic Fan right above for final exhaust.

I turn on the fan on microwave which it blows into the roof, then I turn on the roof fan just above the microwave. THis way is blowing everything out and that seems to work for me.

I agree that I would prefer the convection oven to exhaust through the sidewall instead of upward inside i our Bounder.
The Samsung we have in the trailer, it exhausts outward. When it was installed as a replacement, the baffle that directs exhaust outward or upward in just re-positioned.
I would assume the Bounder convection oven has the same arrangement. That may become a future project.

I do the same thing, it goes through the useless metal filters and out the top and I turn on the fantastic fan but would much prefer it to go out through the wall of the coach.

If your frig is next to your micro, cut a hole on the frig side near the back and blow it out the frig rear vent......

Interesting but:
Household refrigerator, no vent. Convection oven blow up at the front, or up at the back, or out the back. No side flow to go into the refrigerator space.

So I pulled out my residential refer while I was hunting for an always on 12VDC power line. I made some very rough platforms that don't look none to pretty but work just great for rolling the fridge out of its space. Was even able to do it by myself very easily.
However, upon inspection of the wire looms, PEX and propane lines, I noticed a pair of exposed wires hanging loose. They had a factory label on it saying "REFER". I am assuming this is for the RV style refrigerator that used to be standard. The positive lead had a haphazardly applied small piece of tape that was not sufficiently covering the exposed end. Using a VOM, I measured 14.9 VDC live. A bit unsettling, I will bring it up with Fleetwood so they are aware. I used 2 wire nuts I had to secure them and then taped them up.
Curious if anyone else has the need or want to remove their residential fridge and see if the same "refer" wire is loose/exposed.
