Where is my hot water heater switch?

I recently purchased a 2004 Southwind and I can't find the hot water heater switch. I've looked in every compartment and cabinet. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Mine was just under the sink countertop, behind the left cabinet door.

First, it it an Atwood or a Surburban? Next, are you referring to electric or gas switch?
Do you know if it runs on gas, electric, or both?

If it's a Surburban with both gas and electric, then to turn on the gas is usually where the panel for the tank sensors, etc. The electric switch is on the tank almost hidden. Be careful as some of the switches are mounted upside down and if on without water will burn the heating element.

If an Atwood both gas and electric are usually on the tank level panel.

I recently went through this with my 1997 American Eagle. I have an Atwood water heater. I had no idea it was both propane and electric until the control board for the propane went out. There is no switch for electric on the outside of the unit itself. The electric element is behind the unit. Anyway...my switch for the electric water heater is an unlabeled switch (looks like a light switch) located in the bathroom.

If your Label has been peeled off you may not recognize thatís itís3 position as Sumobob pointed out. So kick it all the way to the left and wait for it to heat up.
