AGM batteries are maintenance free ( you never need to add distilled water), they don't gas like traditional wet cells, which cause surface corrosion to cables, lugs and the battery compartment they are housed in.

IMHO......It has been my experience with AGM batteries that they generally outlast wetcells in comparison despite the best intentions of owners to use a variety of water fill contraptions to keep their battery fluid levels adequate over extended periods of ownership.

Go AGM and you'll never go back..... so they say.
