Which tires should I buy
My RV takes 235/85/R16 tires. It is a 34’ class A Fleetwood Bounder 34J.
I am in the market for 6 new tires, wondering your opinions for which ones are best. Run at about 20,000 pounds loaded.

RV tires don’t ware out they age out. Michelin tires are used by most RV manufactures because they have a slightly softer sidewall which gives a smoother ride. However because of that softer sidewall they crack sooner. Many RV owners switch to Toyo, Yokohama and other brands. I just got 6 Yokohama’s and saved about $1,200 over the similar Michelin brand. Heading out in a few days and will see how smooth the ride is.

Most folks will comment on what they have, and there are plenty of good tires available. As I've only owned a MH for 10 months, I can only say that the Toyo 154 tires I had installed last summer have been great and we've logged about 4K miles on them.

I run Hercules 901s, same size as yours. My rig is lighter, 17K but the 901s should do great. Had mine for 5 years, no cracks, no issues, look brand new. About ready to replace the front ones later this year.
Update: Found this older thread, but a good write on them. (Wish I could find my post as it had the load ratings)

BTW, Cooper makes these Hercules tires.

Ford installed Michelin XPS all steel cord tires when new for a reason.
The only manufactures that makes an all steel cord tires for your RV are Michelin and Bridgestone.
Those 85 series tires, with tall side walls, are subject to a lot of side wall flex with fabric cord side walls. I made the mistake on my old Bounder and could feel the flex.
I do suggest you purchase either Michelin XPS or Bridgestone Duravis R250.
Ya gets what ya pays for.........GRIN
