Why 2 pump switches?

My Tioga Montara 25K has 2 pump switches - one on the main panel and on the wall beside the lavatory sink (o/s the bathroom).

Why do I have 2 switches (previous fiver had only the one on the main panel)? Why would you not just turn the pump on at the main panel when you set up if dry camping?

I think it's mainly a convenience thing. If you happen to be in the bath area and need the water, you don't have to walk all the way to the main panel. I can't think of any other reason to have multiple switches. Our Bounder even has one in the wet bay outside.

I have three waterpump switches. Main panel, Master bathroom and one at the outside sewer/water hookup panel.

It's for convenience. When I pull off the road to use the bathroom I can't get to the master bathroom switch because of the bedroom slide.

However I can get to the half bath so the switch on the main control panel is used.

I don't want to go outside to use a switch in that situation either. But occasionally I use the outside switch when hooking up or disconnecting.

My previous coach had one at the main panel. Was always annoying I would be at the point if use and have to go flip the switch. Current coach has also switches in the bath and wet bay, much better.

Next thing they will be asking is why do I two remote controls? I guess the more convenience we have the more justification to ask why. Just my point of view. X2 on the above comments.

We also have three switches. At pump, in galley, and head (bathroom). So's you can turn yer pump off and on as needed. When we bought the mh it was strongly suggested that we turn the pump off when not needed, especially when on the road. We don't, usually and probably should. Chancing the fates?

OR, move the one switch to the linen closet and then when you scream "honey, honey," throw me some toilet paper, you can add and "turn on the water pump".

I have 5 water pump switches. The coach came with 4 and I added a very IMPORTANT one that was missing in the toilet room, DUH!

The current locations are: cabinet over the co-pilots seat, kitchen sink, main bathroom vanity, outside service bay and now one in the toilet room where there is a vanity also.

It only makes common sense to have one where there is a need for water.

Why 2 pump switches?

I have 5 pump switches, and dont know why, cuz I only need one.

When I disconnect shore water, I hit the switch in the wet bay and leave it on until I hook up to shore water again.

I think the electrical designer must have had some time on his hands.

Left the pump switch on with a trailer one time. The shower nozzle fell out of the holder and hit the water lever as it fell.

When I got to my destination there was water running out the bottom of the trailer. It had pumped out my entire fresh water tank.

Ours is always off in transit.

We shut off pedestal water when we leave the campsite to go exploring. Had a Pex fitting break one time when we were in town and flooded the coach.

Best one was when in our sticks and bricks the water line going to the back of a toilet broke. That ran several hours and flooded the entire house.

We spent two months living in our coach while the house was repaired to the tune of $35,000.

We are a bit paranoid when it comes to water.
