Windshield Trim

While washing my 2014 35K yesterday, I noticed the rubber trim around the windshield was coming out in a few places. Is this supposed to secure the glass or is it just rubber trim? Do I squirt some silicone sealer behind it to hold it or what?

It is cosmetic. Had mine do the same thing a couple times. Dealership put some type of sealant on it and haven't had any problems since.

Happened on my previous rig. Silicone would come out after a few months. Bought black gasket maker, never came out and was almost invisible.
