Windshield wipers on without being switched on

We have a 2008 Bounder 38P. Its on a workhorse platform. Twice now, the wipers had either stayed on after use and turned off, and today when I went to fill the gas, when I started the engine they came on with the selector in the off position. I couldn't get them to turn off, even when I tried turning them on and off, trying the washer position.

I thought I remembered seeing something about this when I was looking for some other information. Since its been parked, we have had some days it rained. Could just raining cause a problem or dampness? I open the front engine access and the wires and area under the dash up there did feel damp.

Anyone else experience this and what did you do, other than pay a dealer to look?

I have seen dozens of posts in the different sections of the forum about this issue. Here are a few previous threads you might check out... https://www.google.com/search?q=wipe...earch=irv2.com

I'm never sure whether this type of problem is "chassis" or "house" related, but you might check the Workhorse section to see if anyone has had a similar problem.

I think Chevy has this problem. I've got a 2008 Chevy Colorado, the wipers will make a swipe sometimes. It's not on any kind of "interval" just any random time they want. I had an Isuzu Hombre that would do the same thing. They finally quit working all together.
