Winterize?

New coach owner, and the 93 Pace Arrow I am trying to fix up has some things I do not recognize.

In the wet bay I have this "faucet" with a sprayer in the bay with the tanks

Code:

What is this? Do I need to put Antifreeze in this somehow? I have hesitated putting the pink stuff in the fresh tank, but if it is necessary, It has been indoors for four years and has no evidence except in the commode of any. I poured a gallon between the drains and commode, but the low water drain and water heater are empty.

Thank you if you can identify this for me. The Owner's Manual does not have many drawings or photos..

No, you don't put antifreeze in the fresh tank. All you have to do is drain it. The antifreeze is to protect the plumbing system so the pipes and fixtures don't split as they freeze.

The faucets supply water to rinse, wash, or however you want to use them.

Thank you, have been discussing that with everyone yet no one owns one of these.

I winterized mine for the first time this weekend. Not being sure what all I needed to do, I went specifically by the owners manual so I wouldn't miss anything. It specifically told me to put AF into the fresh tank (after draining) and go through the procedure to get it through all plumbing. How do you introduce the AF into the plumbing without putting it in the fresh tank?

It sounds like the manufacturer didn't install a winterizing port. Likely for no other reason than to save themselves a few bucks. If there was one you'd use that to pump antifreeze directly from the jug into the plumbing system rather than putting antifreeze into the the fresh water tank.

schematics

An email to REV Warranty was fruitful as someone went above and beyond and found a schematic of my coach, with drawings that will take me somewhat farther than before. I will try to post it to the Fleetwood owners group.

Go to CW or your rv dealer or even Walmart and Camco makes the little inline port that you install just before your water pump. It allows you to connect the gallon of pink stuff directly to the plumbing system. Took me maybe 10 minutes to install. Then you hook a small hose to it and stick the other end in the pink stuff and turn your pump on. The pump sucks the pink stuff out of the bottle directly into your plumbing. Before you do this drain the plumbing lines and then close them. Also pour some pink stuff down the drains and I add some to the holding tanks as well. I drain the fresh water tank but have been told as long as its not full you have room for the frozen water to expand. To me the pink stuff is the way to go and cheap insurance.
