Wiper Blades

On my MH the wiper blades are held on the arms with small bolts, I have looked at Wal Mart and auto part stores and can't find a blade with the hole in it. I am wonder if I just drilled the pivot rod out of the blade and used the bolt if it would work. I looked at some at Wal Mart and thinking about spending 8.95 just to see if it will work. Don't want to pay big bucks for new wiper blades..any suggestions..

Most of those big blades you can just get the inserts which is the rubber and metal strips along the sides. You just slide the guts out of the blade and insert the new refill. Take one out and take it to an auto parts store.

Replaced my blades yesterday. Off the shelf ar Oreillys. Popped the jhook piece out and the blade matched up to the arm no problem. There are about three types of blades, so you have to look around a bit.

Finally got around to hunting for the wiper blades. Went to Advanced Auto Parts, they had the exact blade I have, it's a Rain X Dominator or something like that, comes with two different mounts. 28.95 for one, I passed. Went to wally world, the same blade was 24.95, still more than
I want or will pay. Checked the others and found a Boush 26 inch for
9,95 and the hole was already there. Got two of them and put them on with no problems, will hold on to the old ones for a while, don't look like I will be driving in any rain in the near future, so all is good. At some time
I might replace them with the expensive ones, but only if the Boush's don't do the job, and or if I was going on a real long trip, like to the northwest or something. But for now these will suffice.

Joe, your good to go with the cheaper Michelin blades from Wally World, I just change mine last Fall, the trick is saving the small bolt that has a shoulder made to fit the hole in the blade, worked great. Good luck/Travel safe.

A tip in case you don't already know this: Buy some of those little square alcohol prep pads like the diabetics and other people use. Clean the road oil & film off your blades a few times a year and they'll work better and last longer.
