Wiper blades

Other than CW or the dealer, does anyone know where to find refills for the (Denso, I think) wipers on my Bounder? I'd even settle for an adapter to mate a standard wiper frame to the wiper arm (2 screws attach the frame to the arm).

650mm long x 8mm wide.

This is proving to be a lot more difficult than I would have ever imagined. Its simply not right to have to pay $50+ for wiper blades!

Thanks,
Steve

I Bought refills (Trico) at a Lordco Auto Parts store the other day! I would guess that there is NAPA or Auto Sense store in your area that carries refills, although they certainly are not as common as they used to be!

Have you been to the www.tricoproducts.com website. They have a twin screw adapter for the wiper arms however finding a place that sells them is something else. Supposedly CW, but I have not seen trico at the one here in central Texas. I need to replace mine also.

My local RV dealer wanted $40 for one of my non-refillable wiper blades. Refusing to pay that, I measured my blades and took a drive to my local Napa store, where I bought a set of same length blades. I cut my old blades off with a pair of tin snips and slid the new blades into place. Cost me $9 total, and I now have re-fillable wiper blades.

Same here...plus labor. Highway robbery! Also, most other generic refills were for the entire arm assembly & we needed only new rubber blade inserts. So, DH measured & went to our local Advanced Auto Parts store. Got a pkg of the cut-to-fit rubber replacement blades, made a couple cuts, slipped the old blades out, slid the new ones in & we're set.

Picked up some 25" refills at the Carquest in Raton NM. Easy install in the Beaver's wipers. Very cheap as well.

Finally, some joy.

Found a local auto parts store that had the adapter to mate an off-the-shelf replacement blade to my Bounder. Its interesting that none of the "big name" auto parts stores around here had it.

Its part # 48-17 made by ANCO.

Thanks to all.
