My rear cap had the worst chalking on the surface, and most damage to the decals ; it faces south all summer and west all winter; after the cleaning ( BKF )and washing twice, it took 7 thin coats to come up to the same look as the sides did in 5 .

I am not sure if they were there but now thinking it could be from applying too much.

ZEP Makes a stripper to remove the product but use it carefully. After the streaks are removed, just reapply the ZEP. Chuck
