2017 Foretravel REALM
Just purchased a 2017 Foretravel Realm. How do you keep the steps out when you are parked?

I don't know about the Realm, but every MH with auto steps I've seen has a switch by the door (stair well, usually) with an On and Off switch. On usually means the steps retract with door closes and Off usually means that the steps stay out all the time.
Great coach. Really fantastic.

Congrats on your new purchase.
I do not have a Realm but mine when the ignition is on the steps with come out and go in when the door is open. With the ignition off the steps will come out the first time the door is open and stay out until you hit the door lock. Then it will go back in. If you are outside and unlock the door I think the step will go out before you open the door but I will have to go home and double check to see if waits until I open the door or just unlocking the door. I do not remember seeing a button marked steps on mine.
How are your operating?

I had a Tiffin Phaeton and it worked just as you described. I cannot find a switch to keep the steps out after you are parked

I have 2018 Realm. Make sure the ignition switch is in the off position. It's easy to turn off the coach and have the key to the left of 12:00 position. The key needs to be in the 12:00 position. Best way is to remove the key from switch to make sure it's off. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask me questions.

Thanks for your help. I called Foretravel and we determined it was a relay in the drivers side front compartment that was bad. It was making the relay hot with the ignition off. This also kept the bedroom and bathroom pocket doors from releasing! I took the wire off and it all worked as it should.
