Carfax report for Nimbus

Hey all, I am looking at a 2007 Nimbus and is in excellent condition however I had the carfax pulled for the VIN and it showed front and rear fender bender no big deal but it also shows a fire was reported. Do i ignore? Seems no one is aware except for the owner and not able to contact him. I'm hoping a thougrogh inspection will bring forth any issues if it has any. Would you pass on this rig? TIA

Simply answer is YES!

What you can't see, possible burn wires, etc would be enough for me to find another coach.

The owner is unavailable. RED FLAG! A fire of any sort in any vehicle is a reason to walk away.

There could be a number of reasons the owner is unavailable. Such has passed away.

But to the point. Knowing there was a fire and the insurance company paid outo I would also pass.

Back a many years ago when I was looking for a used motor home, as I would go through it I would find problems that needed to be fixed. I ended up buying one that I thought was perfect. I was wrong. I then wondered on the ones that I had found problems on how many more problems I did not find.

I would pass on that one as well, as there are many others available. Good luck shopping.

2007 is pretty much the worst year for the Nimbus as well.

No parts available for the 1-year chassis AC system. Fiberglass issues. Many had plumbing leaks. Hard pass.

a link to the rig:

https://www.motorhomesoftexas.com/Pr...imbus-11619340

all this would be pending a complete inspection along with fluids analysis

I don't thing Foretravel ever did a coach just a solid color, so I think it was repainted. Notice the dash knob missing. I am guessing the dash AC is not working.

I remember about a guy that bough a coach that had a fire and he was going to rebuild it. I am searching for the thread now.

Found where this coach was for sale back in 2018 at Foretravel. The person posted picture and made comment about being a solid color.

Another posted that it had been there for a few years for sale. They were trying to sell it for $179,900 & had 142,000 miles on it.

MOT has a C in the part # so that means that it is on consignment by the owner. I now wonder why the owner is unavailable?

Thanks for the info TurboJack, I mention that the owner is unavailable because it is being sold by MOT and did not realize it was on consignment (never mentioned by the sales person (we were not impressed) - wife pulled the VIN and we saw the history on it, we were able to see that it was first registered in California w/1400 miles the lived most of its life in New Hampshire short time in Arkansas and back to Texas. We figured it was painted after speaking with Foretravel.

Hard to tell from the photos, but that could be a large area of delam under the driver window. It's got a weird shadow that one can't tell if it's from a reflection or not.
